Snow and Ice
A variety of materials can be used to make Special Effects Snow. A fine powder material C90 is used to dress trees or buildings. This can be hosed down after to clear up easily as the materials, turns invisible with water. Paper snow of different particle sizes can be used on the floor and around any action. For larger set ups foam can be laid in the distance or on buildings to give the wide shot. For a tight shot it is even possible to lay real snow in a tiny area for that added realistic close up. Ice looks great on a building or across a lake using a variety of waxes and specialist prop sections.
